ईश्वर-प्रेम की उपलब्धि अनासक्त होकर ही हो सकती है और यही एक ऐसा तत्व है, जो मरता मिटता नहीं, क्योंकि यह अनुभव नहीं है। प्रेम और प्रेमी परस्पर घुले-मिले हैं, एक हैं। प्रेम के क्षण में प्रेम की प्रतीति नहीं होती। आनंद के क्षण में तो लगता है कि कुछ दिव्या घटित हो रहा है; पर प्रेम का पता कैसे चले ? क्योंकि प्रेमी वहाँ होता नहीं, वह तो प्रेम ही हो जाता है। इसे यों भी समझ सकते हैं कि व्यक्ति जब स्वस्थ होता है, तब उसे अपनी स्वस्थता का पता ही नहीं चलता, पता कैसे चले ? क्योंकि स्वस्थता तो अनुभवजन्य है ही नहीं। अनुभव तो बीमारी का होता है।
